“Last July the governments of Ontario and Quebec took strong action to invest in their film and television sectors, and almost instantly, I'm told, the phones in B.C. stopped ringing. International producers who wanted to come shoot in B.C. were now going to Ontario. They could make more money there, and they had a government and an industry there keen for their business. So where was our government? ...Month after month after month, nothing happened."
